Born from three colonies who needed a place of worship closer to home, and grew, over five years, into a fellowship of their own.

The Need
Who We Are
Until the early part of 2006, worshippers from Yimkonglenden, the Circuit House area, and Ora Colony travelled to Nagarjan Fellowship for services. But the same difficulties every distant colony faced (walking home after dark, a long journey that wore attendance down) made clear that these three colonies needed a fellowship of their own.
So a prayer cell was started, then grew for nearly five years under lay leadership, before formally becoming Yongkum Fellowship.

The people who built it
Yongkum Fellowship exists because of three people who said yes at three different moments: a blessing, five years of quiet leadership, and a final blessing that made it official.
2006
Associate Pastor, DABA. Blessed the founding of the prayer cell on 28 July 2006.
2006 to 2011
DABA Secretary. Served as lay-in-charge, since Church Guidelines did not permit a full-time minister for a prayer cell.
2011
Pastor, DABA. Granted fellowship status on 30 January 2011.
Our Story
From a prayer cell to a fellowship of its own
Five years of gathering, under lay leadership, before the areas adjoining Yimkonglenden, the Circuit House, and Ora Colony became a fellowship in their own right.
Yimkonglenden, Circuit House area, and Ora Colony begin a prayer cell together, with the blessing of Rev. S. Apong (Khar).
Mr. Imly Jamir (Changdang), DABA Secretary, serves as lay-in-charge, since Church Guidelines did not yet permit a full-time minister for a prayer cell.
Fellowship status is granted with the blessing of Rev. N. Tzüdir, Pastor DABA. Yongkum Fellowship is born.
