A Fellowship of DABA
Duncan Fellowship
Before there were ten fellowships, there was Khermahal alone. Then, in 1981, the first fellowship DABA ever granted.

The Need
Who We Are
DABA was founded in 1958, with its church building and worship services at Khermahal, and that remained the only worship center well into the 1980s. But as the church grew, the city expanded, and members settled further from Khermahal, the long walk home after evening services became harder to sustain.
So in 1981, Duncan Fellowship was founded: the first fellowship status DABA ever granted, covering Duncan, Lengri, and Industrial Estate. When it did, the original Khermahal congregation needed a name of its own too, and that became Town Fellowship, founded the very same year.
Our Story
The first of ten, and the seed of another
Duncan Fellowship didn’t just start a new congregation: it started the pattern every other fellowship on this site would follow.
DABA is founded, with its church building and worship services at Khermahal, the only worship center for the whole congregation.
Sensing the difficulty of the long, dark journey home from Khermahal, the church grants fellowship status to Duncan, Lengri, and Industrial Estate, the first fellowship of its kind.
Lengri and Industrial Estate later grew into a fellowship of their own (today’s Sümedem Fellowship), while Duncan Fellowship has been served by nine pastors, besides the current one.
