The Need
Who We Are
Sümedem Fellowship is located in Lengrijan. Lengrijan and Industrial Estate were initially adjoined to Duncan Fellowship, but a population spurt in these areas, along with the difficulty of travelling home after evening services in the dark, made the need for a fellowship of their own clear.
So in 1984, the church decided to grant fellowship status to Lengrijan, Industrial Estate, and other adjoining areas. Since then, twelve pastors have served this fellowship, besides the one serving today.
Our Story
One decision, one fellowship
Unlike some fellowships that passed through a prayer cell first, Sümedem’s path was direct: part of Duncan Fellowship one year, its own fellowship the next.
Before 1984
Lengrijan and Industrial Estate worshipped as part of Duncan Fellowship. As the population grew, the distance and the dark walk home after evening services became harder to sustain.
1984 to Present
Granted fellowship status in 1984, serving Lengrijan, Industrial Estate, and adjoining areas. Twelve pastors have served since, in addition to the current one.
