The Need

“Space in the main church, travel, involvement: by the early 1980s, Signal Colony's growing Ao Naga community had outgrown all three.”

Who We Are

Signal Fellowship is located in Signal Colony. By the early 1980s, the Signal area had seen huge settlement and population growth among the Ao Naga community, leading to real difficulties: travelling to the main church, and space shortage once they arrived.

For easier movement and better involvement, the church started the fellowship on March 8, 1986, with Pastor Rev. Longkok officially blessing and declaring it open. Mr. I. Onen (Kilengmen), then a Deacon, was put in charge as its first pastor in-charge.

Our Story

A colony that outgrew the main church

Not a distance problem this time, but a space one: too many people, too little room.

Early 1980s

Signal Colony’s Ao Naga population grows rapidly, straining travel, attendance, and space in the main church.

The fellowship is started and officially declared open by Pastor Rev. Longkok, with Mr. I. Onen (Kilengmen), then a Deacon, appointed pastor in-charge.
