The Need

“A large, growing Ao community adjoining Burma Camp needed a home of worship they didn't have to travel so far to reach.”

Who We Are

Believers in the colonies adjoining Burma Camp originally travelled to Town Fellowship for worship. But the distance, a large and growing settlement of Aos in the area, and rising population made the need for a closer fellowship clear.

In April 1998, a prayer cell was granted under the name Burma Camp Prayer Cell, DABA, with Mr. T. Süngjem Longkümer, then Home Evangelist, as its in-charge. The name has changed twice since, but the community it serves has only grown.

Our Story

Two renamings, one growing community

From a prayer cell serving a distant colony to a fellowship with a name of its own, twice over.

Burma Camp Prayer Cell, DABA is granted, with Mr. T. Süngjem Longkümer, then Home Evangelist, serving as prayer cell in-charge.

Sensing the community’s growth, the church grants fellowship status under the name Burma Camp Fellowship.
